    Plants stretching!

I have my light at 18 inches from my plants and i have 2 that are strecting alot more than the other 3,Is there anything i can do to slow them down from out growing the others so much?I figure these 2 are atleast 2 inches taller than the other 3.I have a moving fan on them that runs the whole 18 hrs on them and they have been growing for 2 weeks today and i must say they look healthy, but i dont won't them getting tall and lanky. Is it a good time now to give them aittle nitrogen yet or should i wait alittle longer? Also when i start feeding them how many times should i feed them a month?I need a brush up it's been about 6 years since i grew inside lol and i can't remember all the do nots i'm mainly ouside grower.Thx for any info!

18 inches is too far, what king of light are you using ? You should have about 1ft 1/2 of distance from the tops with an 1000w HPS... Other lights are closer check this little guide. If some are closer than others try using boxes to get smaller plants closer to light so they won't stretch that much. If they have 5 nodes or more you can start to LST (I've found a link with some info for you) if you don't want them to get too tall, same thing for nutriments wait until they have 4-5 nodes to feed them.

Depending on what fertilizer you are using, but usually you need to feed them every other watering. Wait until the dirt is really dry and then water them slowing until you start to see a runoff.

Try using the search engine, there a lot of info on the board, just look around.

    Plants stretching!

I'm using the 430 watt horilux light i bought it in 2002 lol and grew onetime with it,i got the one that came with 2 bulbs just in case lol.So i have it to far away then?I read alot and most of what i read said 18 to 24 inches,so i went and lifted it up & know i have 2 streching on me.I will lower it down some,so what you think maybe about 12 inches will be close enough?I do appreciate the advice,it's been awhile since i went from outside to inside,i have forgot alot things since my hands on experience has been lacking lol!!!
