All right guys, I've been tolkin for about 2 years now and I'm sick of buying bud. It's time to get my hands dirty and start my "agriculture project."
So I need to know
What kind of bud is the easist to grow but still highly potent
What kind of soil to I grow it in
What climate will it need
How much water, fertilizer, ect.
How much will it yeild (rough estimate)
What are all of the essentials for cannabis production
Where might I buy all of the above
How much money am I looking at to get going. The Green Chronic Reviewed by The Green Chronic on . First Time Grower All right guys, I've been tolkin for about 2 years now and I'm sick of buying bud. A good first time strain is Northern lights #5. I think you should get a good book before you start like the growers bible or something else. There are several you can DL for free too.

Yeah... get a book and dig in... it will teach you a lot and make the growing process that much better... Growing is easy once ya read the book...
but if ya got the seed and ya can't wait... ya need to sprout the seed.. you do this by keeping it moist and warm and dark... you can start with a 1 gallon container.. get some soil and mix it with perlite.....
water it with 6.5 ph water.. you can get a cheap ph tester at the nursery- $3.50
If your tap water is not 5-7 ph you will need to adjust your ph using vinegar to lower it and baking soda to raise it
Keep your seed and seedling moist.... but don't over water a mature plant...
good luck

NL #5 is great for that, but a Skunk #1 I think is even harder to screw up...
IMHO

what surprises me in a way is that you have over 100 posts and you still ask simple questions....anyway....here goes:
A:any plant can yield a huge amount of bud if left under vegetation for like 3-4-5-6 months and then flower.....the bigger the plant and the bushier the better it will produce..
B:indoors is better because you can control every aspect of the plants life....from light to watering till temperature and air flow....outdoors has a big advantage though that is yield but this can be achievable also going indoors with the proper setup
C:if you go indoors you can expect to finish harvesting (given a month for vegetation) from seed in around 3-4 months....outdoors it depends on the strain/weather but more or less takes maybe around 4-6 months depending on the strain and when you put the seed on the ground.....
D:to have a kilo you can do it with one plant that is huge or with 20 plants that are small....it all depends on their size, style of growth, amount of light they receive waterings, ferts, airflow etc.....the best one a i could suggest is to grow around 15-20 females of medium size 3-4 ft tall....doing that and taking good care of them will definately get you a kilo of pure bud
E:seeds you can buy from various sources on the net.....just go on google and type in the search box ''cannabis seeds buy online''

water and nutes: NL 5 will need to be watered once ever 3-5 days depending on the soil and climate. Give nutes every 2 weeks or so.
yield: outdoors, under good conditions, you could be looking at a little under a pound per plant, dry
essentials: knowledge and TLC
buying: soil at any garden center, same with nutes. Seeds can be purchased from www.drchronic.com there my favorite.
money: depending on wich northern lights you get, it could be as little as 40 bucks to as much as one hundred. If you grow inside it will be much much more, around 230 for a cheap grow without the seeds included
