    F.Y.E.'s policy

    Son of a bi**h, does F.Y.E. drug test you too? I hadn't come up with anything in a small search I did a few days ago, but suddenly one thread or two came up. No personal experience, but one guy asked his friend who was a manager at a store as recent as last February and he said drug testing was done. However, I can't find any personal accounts on whether this is done or not. I worked at a Barnes & Noble and they never drug tested me and I've found accounts where other stores in that chain HAVE tested. So I'm assuming maybe it's the manager's preference?

    What I'm wondering is, when am I informed that I'll have to drug test? I would've assumed it would be when I was offered the job, but I've already been offered it. I went on my interview and she hired me on the spot and said she'd call me in a few days and tell me what my schedule was going to be like. When I interviewed at Target and they hired me on the spot as well they immediately said, "You're hired!....contingent on passing a drug testheresignthisform."

    Maybe I'm just incredibly naive, but I would assume that if I was offered a job contingent on a drug test they would mention that to me when they hired me.

    I do know for a fact that all FYE's and Coconut's around the country drug test. I worked at FYE for a bit and while the manager basically hired me on the spot, there are definitely contingincies to whether or not you get the job. One is that you have to call and do this survey that asks you questions to determine what kind of person/employee you are. Then the manager has to make sure you pass and then can offer you the job, as long as you pass a drug test.

    If your manager doesn't have you drug tested, something's fishy. I mean, cool for you, but I don't see how they'd get around that when it's handed down from corporate. You're dealing with a lot of cash and a lot of cd's and expensive equipment. They're not supposed to just let you work there, no questions asked.

    Good luck, though! If you do get drug tested, the fake piss is the way to go. I smoked the whole time I worked there and I wasn't the only one. Once you pass your test and get hired, they really don't give a shit if you're a stoner.
