    How do you do it?

Depends on how you define "trouble" I suppose. You probably can't be convicted of anything, but if you recieve a package of marijuana seeds in the mail with your name on it, you might be asked questions by the police, which you might feel was "trouble" if you had nothing to do with it. If the police questioned your sister and your parents about why she was getting marijuana seeds mailed to her, would she get in "trouble" even if it wasn't legal "trouble?" Seems to me like it is not up to you to decide how much trouble your sister and parents should endure for something they have nothing to do with and that only benefits you.

I wouldn't do it if your wife doesn't agree with it since you are her "partner". You don't want to risk getting into trouble with the law, especially if you have any kids at your home.

Your wife is correct that you should never have seeds mailed to your residence.
And you are correct for respecting her wishes, as another member of the household, in the matter.
    You have two choices:
-Find a friend who doesn't mind having a package with 'John Smith or current resident' delivered to his post box from a seed vendor
-Save seeds from the highest quality bags in which you find seeds, and breed the ones that do best in your own grow room, to create a line of plants or a mother plant that thrives in your spot.

She's not fine with having seeds sent to your home, but completely fine with you growing within that same home? I may be missing something.

Speaking from experience, if the seeds are sent internationally, only a general customs letter will be sent to your home if they are seized. If sent domestically, a knock from the secret service or USPS police may be at your door.

As stinky said, the best way would be through a friend or saving good bag seeds. Setting up a PO Box is a very simple and cheap alternative as well.

... because you never know who may have taken note of the contents... if by some chance you're reported as having had seeds sent to you through the mail , then law enforcement will more thank likely assume you are taking part in illegal activity... if that is true, then you may have some problems trying to enjoy your ganja without the law knocking down your door, whether or not you are growing, you are a user of an illegal substance.

The cops could question all they want, they have nothing off of someone receiving an envelope with seeds. The only thing they will do is try to get you to admit stuff to them, but that would be stupid of someone to do. If they were really worried about it, they probably wouldn't even do any questioning. Just watch the household for suspicious activity cause questioning would probably make someone abandon a grow operation if there was one. Then when they found no suspicious acitivity, everything would be fine cause they would have no reason to believe anything was going on. If my sister were to get in trouble by my mother, I'd just talk to my mom. I'm not hiding anything from my family, they know I smoke.

Whatever. Maybe you have a different family dynamic from mine and they would just forgive you for putting them through that. But if someone sent seeds to my house and I ended up having the police asking me questions or watching my house for suspicious activities because of it, I would be pissed livid at that person for putting me in that position.

I would suggest ordering soon. Xmas is a prime time to order seeds! LOTS and LOTS of mail! Only so many inspectors! Your odds for it "getting through the gauntlet" increase. Mother's Day and Valentines are also good.

That's the worst case scenario though. More then likely it will just be the envelope with a note attached to it stating that the seeds were confiscated. You are right though, I have a different family dynamic. The chance of them ever having to go through anything because of it is very slim though. Even if the house did get watched, they would probably never know and since nothing is going on, nothing would happen because of it.
