    Planter Size

i seen alot people here using the smaller planters,But when i grew my 1st grow i used the 3 gal planters and mine ran out of root room,so this time i used 5 gallon buckes and used alot vermiculite in the soil & didnt fill them all the way to the top, should i have gone with a smaller planter as you did or is 5 gallonn ok.I have 9 foot tall room and its about 6 ft by 8 foot so i figured i could let them vegatate alot longer this time and let them get about 4 ft high then turn the time back to 12-12. So do you think it would be ok to let them grow longer so i could harvest more out of my grow or should i have down size to the 3 gal form the get go!!Since it was the BIG BUDDA PLANTS i knew it needed alot room lol, because they do get huge!

Actually getting some 5 gal container is a good idea, but I would advise you not to let them veg until they are 4ft tall. For my last grow I've used some almost 4 gallons (15L) containers, at the end of there flowering cycle there where really root bound starting to die. The usual rule is 1 feet per gallon... If you want to see some picture just check my old dream in my signature.

Thx for the info friend, that's exactly the reason i changed to 5 gal this time because of the plants on my other grows getting root bound in the smaller planters.I have my closet set up pretty nice i got plenty of roon a fan on it that moves accross the plants and a fan to vent air into the closet.I know this strain will get very tall bushy. The ones i grew outside didnt need much attention this summer and the were huge,i'd say 3 out of the 7 were atleast 12 foot tall with huge buds.I kept the big fan leaves off of it and feed it about 4 times in veggie state and 3 times in flowering time, and i was well pleased with the out-come.But i'm still not going to beable to grow them as big as i did outside,so now that there 3 inches tall i should keep the light say 18 to 24 inches away from the plants and on feeding them would you say about 2 times a month indoors would be sufficent.I don't think i'll purn them as much inside tho so they won't get as bushy as they did outside i couldnt handle the width or height lol.Thx again and other advive would be most appreciated.
