Most would say 3 gallons.

3 gallons - grow medium + larger tank, so you not always chasing ph and ppm . When doing ph always go real slow, chasing ph is not fun.
Bigger resivore the better, and keep it around 70 d.f.

i use slightly more than 1 gallon per plant...it works for me but i know most people use at least 3 gallons each. i know that treetops uses folgers coffee containers, so i believe that is about the same amount of water i use i my dollar store containers...and his growth is off the chain. i'm currently 8 days in my 1st flowering in years...yay
