how big of a water pump would you need for like 4 plats on an ebb and flow system....and how many gallons should the resivoir be?

3 gallons per plant. I'm sure the smallest pumps will work. I have run a 120 gph on 6 drip plants, would do 8 but up to 360 gph will work. Ebb and flow the same. Your not moving water under high pressure so no need for a big pump.

so if say you are building the drip irrigation sysytem for your vegg cycle and your mothers....if i planed on having say 6or so mothers but was only begining with two could i like drown the plants if the resivoir is to large or it wont matter

it wouldn't make a difference. just don't have all your lines dripping on the 2 plants, when there ment for 6. put them in there normal location and let them free drip.back into the rez

ONLY use a mag drive pump as the other after time the oil leaks out. I have used on mag drive pump for over 8 years and no problems yet.
A word get a ph and ppm meters so you know what your putting in you plants. The best will be the cheapest in the long run.
Keep it clean and calibrated, and have fun, and never tell anybody that you grow. # 1 rule of growing #2 duck tape works the best for keeping ones mouth shut # 3 see 1 and 2
you also want to time your pump so you only have 20 minutes three times a day. Soggy roots rot, nothing worse than a wet bottom.

how strong should the flow off the dripper be...should it literally just drip...drip?? or trickle??

a 160 gph pump should do the trick, i use several but there different sizes. there both from hydrofarm and there called the active aqua pump

mines like a 2 sumthin n i jus wna make sure i dont drown my seedlings
