Gardening by The Moon- a discussion of the technique
Best to use that old blue or green fingernail polish you really thought looked fun at the time you bought it... lol
I can see Weedy showing up at the Dr's office with blue spots of fingernail polish painted on her itchy spots.... haha

chiggers are little bugs tiny, almost can't see them ... sumthin like a flea, I guess ... ya get them when outdoors in tall grass, etc... they like to bite ya where your clothes are tight, waistband, tops of your socks ( I wouldn't even want to think about wearing a thong
) ... anyway, they leave little red dots, and itch like a mo-fo ... put a drop of clear fingernail polish on them, that does the little bastards in ... uhhhh, it doesn't have to be 'clear' polish, ya can go with designer colors, too :hippy:

Well chiggers are these tiny tiny little red bugs, mites actually I think. They are so tiny it is hard to even see them.
They get on you and puke up their little guts on your skin. Then they slurp up the digested flesh and have dinner.
This leaves a red bump on you that itches like crazy.
You can wash them off in the shower and the are gone till you go back in the weeds again and get new ones.
OFF! and sprays work pretty good, but 5 or 6 always seem to get through and get me. Same for the ticks. Always a few are so hungry the bug spray don't deter em....
I dread going back out there.... My babies are on their own for now... haha

there is a weird kind of bug that i once saw in a dog......is it called cuterebra? This thing actually rooted into the dog and was causing it trouble breathing. Luckily a doc pinned the issue (we had NO clue)and fixed the poor thing BUT HOW GROSS!! And I consider myself fairly tough!! Anyone know about these?

I dunno Weedy, sounds like a Horsefly egg laid in a dog and it just sorta grows in there. That's the closest I ever saw.... To cure this maggot infestation, put some turpentine on a cotton ball, and place over site. wrap with bandage, take off carefully next morning and the "wolf" will be dead and stick to the bandage and come out.
Will come visit soon
