You are more likely to give yourself powdery mildew by spraying in the dark. I have never sprayed in the dark- always when the lights are on. If you are mixing your foliar sprays correctly, with one drop of dish soap or another horticultural spreader/sticker/surfactant/penetrator in the bottle, you will not have the droplet effect that can potentially burn your plants. Even then, droplet burns are less dangerous to plant health than increasing %RH during the dark period...
If you want to be super careful, a good time to spray is less than a half hour before the lights come on, so the moisture dries up very quickly and does not have time to create rot conditions.
