    Rubbermaid Light Leakage?

    Well im using a rubber maid blue container for my next setup

    [attachment=o208031]

    And my light is a 400watt Metal Halide I was wondering If i should paint the top of the container or some shit?

    Because the light is pretty freakin bright.

    Rubbermaid Light Leakage?

    Please give a better description of your setup...

    You should aim to have a continuous canopy so light does not directly get lost to the surface of the tub anyway.

    Rubbermaid Light Leakage?

    The light WILL leak through the rubbermaid container. I found out this the hard way as I got severe algae growth throughout the container and on my roots over the course of 2 days. Be safe and duct tape the entire containers, sides and top. Also, dont use clear tubing either...i found that out the hard way too as it will promote algae growth as well.
