    Fallout 3

Holy shit! What a great game. I live near DC, too, so it's extra crazy that I get to walk around the city. Very addicting game. Anyone else try this gem out? The gameplay is amazing, especially the VATS system they have. Excellent mix of RPG and action elements.

yeah its pretty bad ass, I've never played the other fallout games but im definitely enjoying this one. I'm a level 9 working on the main quest. I was doing a bunch of side quests but that got kinda boring. VATS is bad ass, I love watching super mutants heads explode lol.

I finished F3 at level 16 in ~48 hours of play time but I hadn't completed all of the side quests. Had I known that I couldn't go back I would have done the side quests first. Also, (without posting spoilers) I really didn't like the end and much of the game was monotonous and repetitive. I may play it again at the highest difficulty, someday but once was plenty for now.

Great Game. I rented it and played for a week.

I was talking to 2 other of my friends and we were comparing our experiences with the game and none of our stories matched. It's crazy how a game can offer so many variations...

for example: we were discussing the first town, Megaton.

The Sheriff asked me to disarm the bomb, Burke asked me to blow it up, I told the Sheriff what Burke said, I followed the sheriff to confront Burke, Burke Killed the Sheriff, I killed Burke. I got no reward.

Friend 1 disarmed the bomb and got a home in megaton as reward.

Friend 2 activated the bomb, killed the sheriff on his way out of town, and got a penthouse apartment at the top of the Tower as a reward.

Also, my one friend sniped all the Ghouls that were hanging outside the Tower and was lauded for his efforts. The other friend left the doors to the tower open and the ghouls ransacked the place and killed everyone inside.

seems like you can play this game a number of times with numerous results.

    awesome

Yeah I love Fallout 3, one of my favorite games of this generation. It has a very eerie yet "real" atmosphere to it. I've always enjoyed the post apocalyptic setting in books and movies though.

We need more post apoc games I think .

I did try to play older fallouts but couldnt' get into them.. they've not aged well. But this game is awesome.

finally beat the game the other day. I only have 3 side quests left, too. I was going to buy the new dlc for it but i ended up getting gtaIV the lost and damned which is pretty damn fun. I think i'll grab anchorage later today though.

this game IS amazing! the story line isnt as good as 1/2, but the game play is brilliant.
this would have been last november, just after i got it.
i don't know if you know the place, but there is a robot factory in between megaton and Tenpenny tower.
i was in there, doing my thing, i saved, turned it off then left for work.

got blazed later that night, girlfriend went to bed, turned it back on. it was horrible. haha, i was stuck in that fucking factory for 45 minuites. i couldnt find my way out, i just kept going in circles.

it was so fucking intense. but really good game =]

hahah, yeah i got lost on the second floor for about 10 or 15 minutes. Couldn't find the damn door out. Also, the national archives downtown is kinda confusing. Had to find some stupid elevator.
