Class EducatioN!
Upon random discussion in my science class today, i was confronted by staunch supporters of marijuanna criminalization, stating that its "highly addictive" and "more cancerous than cigarettes". though i wanted nothing mroe than to laugh in they're faces, i knew deep down that it was truly just a depressing sight to see. young intellectuals tainted by the media and educational systems, tricked into beleive that weed is a pure form of immorality. what i found most upsetting was that i knew bias educators were most likely responsible for these convictions.
there needs to be courses of some type that can inform young people of the truth about weed. not that its an amazing drug or the devils drug, but just the bare facts. statistics. studies. RATIONALITY. this course should approach marijuanna legally, medically and scientifically, and socially and psycologically. anyone know about anything similar to this?FunkMeister Reviewed by FunkMeister on . From my understanding, not really. What I think is best to do in these cases is to come here, archive MANY, MANY articles, and print links or the entire articles and present them to the individuals in question. Then, ask them to come up with scientific studies, including ones not funded by the government, that directly contradict the information compiled by you. The more recent, the better.
And if they pull out a partial report from the 70's, then you can chuckle at the propaganda and wave your 20+ reports in their faces.
To effectively debate, you must destroy the basis of your opponents point. If you meet someone who supports criminalization, ask them why. If it's based on anything but personal choice, show them alot of evidence that proves otherwise. Eventually, they have nothing else to say, so no more reasons to support prohibition.
Of course, this method is extremely destructive in a class setting. I used to do this type of shit, because I'm an asshole. But, if one is so inclined, they could potentially take one for the team and wave our flag of Hemp. = D

just ask them one question: "have YOU, yourself verified the crap you were told? cuz u hear a lot of crap from all kinds of sources, the burden of verifying credibility is on u"
and then say this "just a few years ago, marijuana was said to fund terrorismbut to most people it was quickly obvious that it's a plant that can be grown anywhere and by anyone, and most of good quality stuff is grown domestically, at best, funding an old hippe and at worst funding a drug dealer. no of which constitutes to a terrorist. aint no terrorist is gonna sell weed for money, they sell opium and heroin, wholesale, 10000 miles away in afghanistan, and they sell cocaine 5000 miles away, wholesale, in columbia! they need the money, and when u compare prices, u will understand that selling weed is considered small business compared to other hard drugs"
u can in fact just say this and quit talking, either they get it or they dont. cuz in either case, at that moment, they probably ought to shut up, most likely cuz they have not verified the crap.
this has worked with me, in both my govt classes in college, shutting up buncha idiots at once
then, even in case of a negative feedback, u can use your stockpile of the 17000+ scientific researches in favor of marijuana, one at a time. most likely the most arrogant people will just quit the discussion, but u win part of the observing crowd, anyone of them who's got some brains of their own left!!!!

That I put together "Granny Storm Crow's list" (hit the link in my sig)! Unknown is right- bury their lies with scientific reports. My list (on the bottom link, "master list" site) is up to 70 pages, and each page, after the intro, has around 15 studies. You get to do the math, but it is one huge compilation of MMJ studies and articles. (If they can read the whole list and still be anti-cannabis, watch out for them, they are absolutely insane (IMHO)! :wtf
So click the link, fill the printer, and do us all proud!
