You know, I thought she was a pretty good pick for McCain at first. And then she opened her mouth. Geez I don't know how she even graduated out of grade school. Christ is she stupid.lol

yeah palin was a disappointment...it must be particularly hard for women to see her empty head bouncing off that glass ceiling...BUT she was smart enough to become a governor...she won debates in alaska and she is knowledgeable about the energy industry...she could study current events and foreign affairs, and hire a PR consultant to rebrand herself in time for 2012

but i think the republican party is going to distance itself from this loss and do some rebranding of their own (which won't include palin)...obama is probably going to shoot himself in the foot with the fiscal issues (budget deficits and trade deficits), and open the door to his critics by communicating with unfriendly foreign governments...the republicans could capitalize on that by changing their colours to become protectionist fiscal conservatives opposed to 'liberal' trade policies

Ha ha! The news clip is kind of funny. I think Palin was a very bad pick for McCain and it is partly responsible for his loss, but she is not the SOLE reason. Blaming her is scapegoating. It's going to be amusing watching the conservative punditry turn on iteslf and begin tearing iteslf apart with blame. They are going berserk at Fox News right now.

After they are done pointing the fingers of blame at each other, stabbing each other in the back, and eating their young, they can settle down, regroup and find their way forward. Even though she doesn't bear all the blame for this loss, I don't think she has as much of a future as some people think --- definitely NOT a candidate in 2012. When the Republicans find their way forward, it is not going to be through the route of the culture war or Evangelical Christianity. Palin is in the wing of the party that they need to de-emphasize.

Anyone heard anything about Joe the Plumber? Is he giving any more press conferences, or has he had to go back to snaking out drains?
