We may never know if he got the Area 51 briefing, but President Elect Obama is now getting the same Daily Intelligence Briefing that Bush gets every day. (Reports are that he is actually NOT sleeping through them the way Bush usually did! Ha ha! Just joking...)

Also Obama has had his transition team up and running for some time now and is expected to move very quickly to get his staff announced. The first announcement is U.S. Rep. Rahm Emanuel will be Obama's chief of staff. He's worked in the White House before and is expected to be fairly tough minded and pragmatic --- good at getting things done in a practical way.
US President-elect, Mr.Barack Obama, launched yesterday into the first in the series of briefings on the top secret intelligence reports by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and 21 other security agencies. The meeting took place in Chicago, Illinois
He is also scheduled to meet with President George Bush on Monday in their first parley on Iraq, the financial meltdown and the fortune of the country as the transformation of the White House accelerates.

It'll be interesting to see if we REALLY got true "change" with this election.

Have a good one!:s4:
