Suggestions requested: Need to clone inside same room that I flower...
My first post here looking for some suggestions on how to clone inside my growing room. The room is perfect for what I am doing and no one has access but me and my partner and there is no light leak. It's also big enough to allow a space to do a some cloning as well. My question is mostly this: When I switch to 12/12 to go into flowering, I need to make sure that there is no light leak coming from the clones which I plan to run on 18 hours or so...
I'm not a handy person when it comes to building things so modifying the room is not really something I want to consider. As it stands, I was thinking of a rubbermaid container box like those used in covert grows or even going to Home Depot and purchasing some large steel toolbox or even a wood cabinet @ Ikea and the ideas keep coming.
No use re-inventing the wheel as I'm sure many are doing what I want to do already. Can someone point me in the right direction as to the best way to keep my lights and their different cycles seperate while in the same room?
I'll leave you with my favourite stoner joke:
Q: What is the one body part all potheads talk about while smoking pot?
Pfffft...pfffft....pffffttt (takes a deep toke and passes the joint to his friend)

I tried a rubbermaid box like you are talking about the main difficulty I had was keeping temps low because you need to get air into it thus light gets in/out. I'm sure you could figure something out with bendable air ducts maybe.

I keep mothers and clones in a Rubbermaid Deck Box
This one...
Rubbermaid- Large Deck Box
I have been using it for almost 2 years with decent consistency.
I picked up a 8" Desk fan and drilled two small holes in the box to cable tie the fan to the box.
Using Sunblaster T5's, again small holes were drilled and cable ties used to secure the lights to the top of the box.
Prior to putting together the box, each piece was wrapped in panda plastic and once put together the excess was trimmed off.
I used a PVC 90 degree for a passive vent at the bottom of the box on the opposite side of the fan.
I can fit 8 bonsai mums (search for the post) and one full dome full of clones.
Temps stay where they should be and I have problems with humidity.
If it fits, this box can be made lightproof with weather stripping around the lip of the lid.
have fun whatever you do...
Me.

I checked ebay for those grow tents and there are plenty to choose from! I never even knew those existed and it gave me the idea to build my own...well sorta. Side note, while on eBay, I fell upon a very cool Stealth PC grow box and started building my own when I realised it was a great idea but not big enough for my setup so i scrapped that project after gutting a perfectly good case...oh well.
I had the box for a large screen TV we recently purchased still kicking around so I used the base to form my grow area and a visit to the cardboard dumpster in my local business area later I've got a nice big thick cardboard grow box...a bunch of duct tape to make it light proof...some Super77 spray glue and 2.5 emergency blankets later, the entire room is covered in reflective glory. I simply cut a door that folds up and added duct tape to the outside to keep the light sealed in. I'm letting it vent out before moving stuff in as permanent residents. It only took a couple hours to get the entire thing built and sealed for light as well as installing a couple 2800 lumens cfls.
The rubberaid deck box is a most excellent suggestion  and if my cardboard grow area burns to the ground I'll be sure to look for a deck box on my next grow! As for the heat build-up inside these boxes, I read that the easy solution is a plumbing elbow that is black so tha light won't travel out. If you only have a white one, paint it black and should do the trick.

Emergency blankets = heat retention - Well hit me with your rythm stick, here I thought I was being so damn smart. Ok, so thanks for the heads-up I put a couple digital therms in there, one on the bottom and one almost on the top and left it sealed with lights on overnight.
Top of box is a balmy 27c and bottom is steady @ 23c...and I haven't even cut open any vents to dissipate the heat yet. Looks like I may be ok...but you had me worried there for a while.
PS: I've looked at all the home reno stores, wally world and not only cannot I find any mylar to buy, all the clerks that help me look for it have never even heard of it before! What's mylar? Uhhh, it's like aluminium foil only different!?! lol
