Question about Med grow card??

Hey guys I live in Michigan and as you may know we passed Med marijuana last night!! Yes!!! I was hoping that someone would know what the stipulations are to obtaining a grow card? I was also wondering if someone could tell me how that then works.... do you sell the MJ to the state or what, or is it just donated? Thanks guys I just want to get a head start on it!

Hey, im not sure if Im allowed to post outside links here.. so i will just give you to run down:

Nov 24â??the Board of Canvassers meet to certify the election. Until then, the law remains unchanged.
Dec 4â??the Act is expected to be enacted into law. At that time patients & caregivers may use an Affirmative Defense in court and motions to dismiss pending cases involving medical marijuana may be filed. The best defense remains to keep your head down and stay out of court in the first place.
Late Marchâ??DCH will begin taking applications
Early Aprilâ??DCH begins issuing cards. Only then will patients and caregivers have full protection under the Act.

not to burst your bubble, but only to remind, you will NOT have 'full protection under the Act', until some Federal laws are changed ... as a California Medical MJ recommendee, I am not hassled by local authorities at all, but the Feds would haul me away at the slightest whim (some CA counties aren't pot-friendly, regardless of the law) ... 'live under the radar' when you first get your 'card', until you see what changes occur ... quite a few states have Med. MJ laws, but not many really accomodate them ... :smokin:

There are still public hearings to do and comments, they have to ratify the election by Dec 4th, then it is in effect but noone will get any cards until probably April because the state needs to get the bureaucracy in place.
