I have to add here that amongst all the political advertising flooding our newspapers and TV sets, I never once saw an ad or piece of mail for Prop 1. Just goes to show how important this issue was to my fellow Michiganders!

Haha! I don't think it was mostly stoners who voted. I know of quite a few older (60-70s) that voted in favor and don't even smoke! I think the victory in MI is pretty much proving that the support for it is pretty strong, even if they don't even want to use it. That being said I know for a fact that a hell of a lot of people smoke here in MI and keep way below the radar because they are lawyers, mayors, doctors, etc.
Now we just have to get through the hearings...
