    light block solutions

I have a stealth outbuilding, not seen from road, no neighbors ect.

I have it divided into two zones and have had success in veg /mothering area.

Now that I'm approaching time for flower side to be utilized I'm having light leak concerns dealing with the door into the veg area, and other areas. For all of the info found on these forums and FAQ lists I have not found info that helps with this issue.

Problem area #1 is doors into veg area and door outside. I've used weather stripping and greatstuff foam and made progress...but not enough based on light leak issues read on others forums

Then also: ventilation system is 460 cfm fan through six inch scrubber, with what had been active exhaust passive intake. The passive intake included some grills to outside that are secure from anyone seeing inside, but still let light polution in/out (some). Also there are vents going from one grow area to the other.

How do I keep ventillation (both between grow areas and outside) and still block light?

    light block solutions

here is an idea. run a flexible dryer hose to the outside.
Dig a small hole about 7" deep and then run the hose to the hole and lay it in the hole.
Cover the hole with a peice of plywood or something then cover the plywood with leaves or other debree found in the area.
The fan in the shed will vent out the dryer hose and the other end will be undergound ....unseen and free from a light source. Also remember to make an exit trough for any water that may get into your exhaust hole. you dont want waterto clog your dryer hose.
    Hope I helped.

    light block solutions

Thanks, that is one I would not have thought of...

Basically the entire grow area is divided into two "stalls" of say 40 inches wide. Veg area there is a four foot , 8 bulb, T5 set up and on the Flower side there will be a 600W cool tube, HPS with exhaust fan and scrubber.

It was my thought that I'd need ventillation between the two sides to allow...well ventiallation. I had done this with grates down low by the floor and was trying to figure a way to box in the way that "faces" where the plants will be to shiled light away from plants...does this make sense?

Or would you then run duct work connected into a "Y" to suck from each zone? And if so would you recomend THAT air from the Veg area, join the main flow on which "side" of the HPS light...? In other words from outside in....

Either A: 3 foot run to fan, to scrubber, to light, to "Y" with vent from F/V

B: 3 foot run to scrubber, to fan, to light to "Y: with vent from F/V

C: 1 foot run, intake of VEG ceiling area, then run to rest of system...
