Obama needs to thank his campaign managers with...
David Axelrod and the rest of his team ran an amazing campaign. They formed a good strategy, played up his strengths, dispatched a strong female candidate without offense, raised an incredible amount of money, targeted areas of high vote concentration that he had a chance of winning and closing the deal, and got inspired people believed to be Obama supporters to vote and vote early. They didn't take risks and they handled booby traps with ease. They did get some help from W in the last 2 months.
He owes them all high level cabinet positions.
God I hope Obama doesn't tax the hell out of us.:wtf:
It's time for them all to go chill out with some tasty nuggets. That goes for Obama and McCain. Sarah's bringing the goods!FakeBoobsRule Reviewed by FakeBoobsRule on . very true, this guy did an excellent job by all accounts. I sure hope obama uses the same kind of people for his appointments, people who actually know how to do a good job on whatever they are assigned to do

They ran the best campaign I have ever seen in my life. Smooth. On message. Never flustered. Generally positive. Forward looking. Inclusive. Confident. They deserve a lot of credit for that.

given that obama ran a nearly flawless campaign, he's an inspirational speaker, and george bush's record was a millstone around mccain's neck, why didn't obama get more of the popular vote?

the country is sort of traditionally split near 50/50, so swaying voters by a few million is basically all u can expect for a good win

so far nearly 119 million votes have been counted
I must say, just the fact that he has won in both popular vote and electoral vote, to me is a surprise from a nation that voted a 2nd time for G.W.Bush. It makes me feel better that I can certainly remain hopeful to America and her people. just remember all the negative ads and all the true criticisms about him?
a young, inexperienced senator, with all them highlighted affiliations??? I would think the nation that voted a 2nd time for bush, would easily buy into that kind of stuff.... but I was proven wrong [I admit, I rather be pessimistic in those situations, if i'm right it will hurt less than having my empty hope shattered]

With his landslide victory, he would have to really screw up bad not to win a r2nd term too.
I really hope his biggest contribution will be some rational foreign policy. He is a very eloquent speaker.

So you wouldn't feel hopeful if McCain was elected? I am hopeful as long as Bush is out of office lol.
