The New President of the United States..Barack Obama

How do you guys feel? Do you think we've taken a step forward in marijuana decriminalization? I'm just kind of in shock right now..

I'm not surprised at all, money is what makes the world go round, and Obama did not pull any punches as far as advertising and campaign funding go, and our economy is in a shithole. Our economical state was crucial to the victory of Obama, and Barack capitalized on this political opportunity.

Marijuana decriminalization, however, is not any closer than it once was. "Our" victory will lie in the hands of the new elected officials in congress. Marijuana advocates must realize that meer INFORMATION is our foundation for future success. If we inform our public, that also counts as informing and/or persuading those who are in office to pass our bills in the first place.

according to a video i saw on the mpp homepage, both mccane and obama support medical marijuana. tho i will say, obama seemed to be more believable as he was speaking on the subject. the one's that will really make the decision will be our congressman tho, so make sure you send out your letters!

I believe with a Congress Dem majority and prez obama, those 2 house bills that we all love so much have much potential chance of getting somewhere or at least stirring up debate.

Bush's 8 years had made politicized our science whether it was global warming or marijuana research. I'm sure Obama will do a better job in that regard, and i can only hope the congress will work along the same line as him

    America 1, Neocons 0.

Even though I've been watching the polls, I couldn't shake the sense of dread that somehow this election would be stolen somehow until now.

The Republican party is sunk for the foreseeable future - the lies that their faithful foot-soldiers have spent the last few months repeating (even on the forums here) ad-nauseum didn't stick and what little veneer of credibility they had left is gone.

Let's just hope that with the clear mandate that the new Democratic congress and Democratic administration has earned is taken to heart. Ever since I've been old enough to follow politics, the Democratic party has been the party of compromise aiming toward an ever-moving middle ground which has been further and further to the right. Let's hope that now they grow some balls and stand up for the values that the party is supposed to represent.

    Congratulations America, we won. :-)

We will see at a minimum the partial federal regulation of medical marijuana during his term..I can nearly assure you of that. Obama very clearly say's to treat it like any other prescription drug in several interviews. he also said I inhaled because that was the point the dude is definitely green..there is no doubt about it.
