Of course not, but that statement can be accepted as truth by me (in terms of the celebration). Sure, it's slightly racist, but segregation wasn't that long ago. I mean, it's only been a matter of hours since this country has breached that race barrier, so of course many black citizens will be in good spirits, knowing how much less race matters now. How could a white person fathom what a black person could be feeling tonight? Said caucasian wouldn't be able to fully understand, as they wouldn't have been exposed to the same type of discrimination in their lives.

It sure was one hell of a ride, and even though I think he's been bought off by the banking interests that run the country, I hope President Barack Obama will have the guts to tell them to go fuck themselves.

I humbly suggest you guys stop complaining about how the election went down. The American people have spoken, and the majority wants Barack Obama.

Instead of tearing him down, you should hope what he does as president is as historically amazing as his election was.

I'm really happy about this win. I think Obama is going to be a good president, and I think he has the potential to be a GREAT president. I think he has the right priorities, and the judgemnt, temperment, character and charisma to carry them out.

Obama gave a great acceptance speach tonight. As some of the commentators mentioned, it wasn't all about himself as they so often are, "I'm going to do this. I'm going to do that. I, I, I...." It was about what WE as a country are going to do, and it was realistic about the challenges WE face. I think he is the right leader for this time and he is going to lead US in what WE need to do.

And I thought that McCain's concession speach was one of the best speaches he has given all year. When I saw it, I thought, Now THAT is the McCain a person could VOTE for. Where has he been for the election? I used to like him, but he turned into a hatemongering, xenophobe for the past several months, and I was actually disgusted by him and his campaign. Then as soon as he lost, it was like the old McCain I used to admire was back to concede the race. Wierd. If he had been true to himself the whole way through, he might have won it.

Don't bother, the hardcore's who hated on Obama for the race will just hate him even more now, especially since it was a 2:1 win. No one likes getting beat that badly, lol. Although in McCain's defense, the popular vote was pretty much razor close; he just didn't do nearly the work he needed to do in the bigger states.

What is this? the who is racist spanish inquisition?

This election is a demonstration of the raw power of the main stream media. Obama was a mere 2 year senator with just a few months of being on the job, if you subtracted all the vacations and time-off they have. Well he wouldn't have been shown the time of day if he was white.

There are going to be some hard feelings for awhile, but hopefully people will come around to the idea of at least giving the guy a chance. We have some very serious problems in this country, and instead of just fighting over who is going to get credit and blame, and who will be SEEN as right or wrong, we need to work together and IMMEDIATELY get down to business.

And Republicans who are angry about losing the Presidency and even more seats in the House and Senate need to take a good look inside at their own party and not try to look for blame outside it. Forget lashing out and laying blame. Forget calling names and sabotaging progress. Do a little soul searching. Figure out why it is that their party lost touch with the mainstream to such a degree that the voters have completely stripped them of all power. Republicans held the presidency and both houses only 8 years ago, and now they have lost all of that in a complete reversal. They need to figure out why, fix it, and then come back when they are ready. In the meantime, they need to accept that the voters have spoken.
