Thank God this is finally coming to an end. Its like they started as soon as Bush raised his right hand the second time. It drives me to have to smoke to deal with the endless commercials and debates and youtube and websites and the lies and bullshit. They've got to be exhausted too and you know they want to just crash on the couch and fire it up! :rasta:

You will never know if Bush was the best choice or not, you can have an opinion but if it wasen't Bush in 2000/2004 someone else could've been 'messing' everything up.. The world would be different but nobdody will ever know how.

I voted early, and I voted often --- a dozen times already today!
Just joking! I just got back from the polls (my one and only time). Cast my ballot for Obama and went mostly Democratic for the down-ticket statewide races, although I went against party recommendations for a few initiatives, one judge, and some other local stuff.
I took my "I voted" sticker to Starbucks and got a free coffee. I hear I can also get a Ben and Jerry's ice cream and a Krispy Kreme doughnut! I just need to figure out where --- I think the closest Krispy Kreme is probably 25 miles away, so driving there would make it a 6-dollar doughnut in round trip gas, which maybe is not the best deal. What else can I get for this thing?

I just got done checking, and all the free deals are too far away, dammit! I got my free coffee, but I'm not driving 12 miles for a doughnut or over 20 for an ice cream cone! This signals the end of our democracy, I fear....
I'm also a little disappointed in the lack of hoopla at my own polling place. I keep seeing pictures on the news of lines going around the buildings with hundreds of excited voters waiting for their turn, but at my polling place there was no line at all. All the booths were full, but I just had to wait behind one other guy. I want to be part of the tidal wave! I asked the poll workers about turnout, and they said they had over 100 people in the first hour, so that is pretty impressive for this suburban location. But it settled down by the time most people had to be at work.
