Flash Photography affects plants?
What kind of camera do you have?
I looked at your latest log and the pics look pretty good to me (i'm no pro...just a photo hobbyist).
Do you know if your camera has a custom white balance feature? I apologize if you know this and are doing it already...but... put your camera on "auto white balance" then go into your grow area and put a piece of white printer paper under the HPS light. Take a close up photo of the paper. It should look yellow/orange/how you expect it to look. Then, set that picture to be used as the custom white balance profile. It should fix the color quite a bit. Check your camera's manual as i'm not sure your model or how your camera does it.
hopefully i'm not spitting info you already know or don't care about.

im not sure I have a cannon powershot SD300
