But it makes sense if you're a legislator that made that law...Why would you want someone with ideas that differ from yours to be able to be elected? They only make us think that we have a say in how things go..If democracy was the case then as far as I'm concerned, the electoral college wouldn't exist, and the general ballot would be the same as the primary ballot..

majority vote is not important, the electoral vote is. sounds pretty stupid to me in comparison to other countries, but for now we gotta live with it. people think these things were so sacred that changing them constitutes a great sin. unless of course that change is needed for our 'security' (patriot act violates a good number of amendments in the bill of rights)
