the SNLxNH test tube has 3 tap roots popped the MK has yet to pop....I'm gonna switch the two tubes...maybe the tube on the left side is a little warmer...

Anybody have any thoughts on ideal temps for the germinating beans...
The GERMINATOR 3000 has been kept at between 74-76 degrees...
Things seem to be moving along rather quicker than my last germinating session...I hope I'm ready for whats next to come...are you ?

As far as your question about ideal temps for poppage, I seem to have really good results when my temps are in the 80-85 degree range...
Not saying that's the ideal temp or anything, but it has worked well for me.

At any rate, I dig the contraption, and I hope it gives you awesome results bruddah!

Ok a lil update for those of you that give a damn about my lil experimental foray into what has been dubbed the GERMINATOR 3000...

All 4 SNLxNH beans have cracked and their tap roots have come out to play...I'm gonna let them get a lil bit longer before I put them into the oasis cubes...

The MK has popped open but no tap root on that one yet...

I figure these will be in their new homes soon enough...

i've found room temp is usually good except maybe if it's a warm climate strain. they say 70-85 but i've read/heard that 80-85 is a good range for germ. a little higher temps than optimal for photosynthesis (~72-78). hope this helps.

i dig the germinator by the way! i was getting clowned for my grow box made from a home theater cardboard box. but it's working. i like doing it myself. it's a lot more rewarding on top of being rewarding!

Shake, thanx for chiming in....I reset my temps to stay around 80 degrees....I love diy too, and no patents here bro anyone can replicate and make these things...I just did it as a joke, messin' around tryin to find a fun way of germin' some beans...later on...Keep growin'

The MK has shown her tap root:jumphappy:...And will soon be put into the Oasis cubes along with the 4 SNLxNH... which SNLxNH will be the best stock for Mothering, only time will tell....
