I sugest you start this thread over and give people ALL the canidates to choos from.
But given only 2 i say Obama by a landslide.
By the way: It's pretty funny that you describe Obama as Socialist and McCain as Fascist - One of the main problems with our two party political system is that there isn't very much difference between the two main centrist parties - There are a handful of issues and positions with barely different view points, not a wide spread of ideas and outlooks as you will find in countries with multi-party systems, and yet Americans are fooled into thinking that these two centrist parties represent opposite political ideologies. Sad. Funny, but sad.

we aint fooled by no1 but ourselves. our own blown out "pride"
thats cuz we think we got THE best system in the world, rejecting to accept that we got our own flaws in the system here, failing to change and correct the wrongs in the end.

Your still missing the big picture.... too bad. Maybe when your grown and have some lifes experiences behind you, and perhaps you own a small business, or your working for a small business....

Then there is the Constitution of the United States of America that seems to have been tossed by the wayside...

He has already said that he is going to do away with the 2nd ammendment.... the *RIGHT* to bear arms.... then put a 500% tax on firearms, and confiscate all of the legally registered guns. This is exactly how Hitler took Poland. Whats next?? the right to worship?? the right to free speech?? The right of due process??

and why is it that *EVERY* OPEC nation, and terrorist country wants Obama to win??

Why is it that Obama wants to take the hard earned money of the working class and hand it over to the slugs that won't work because they get that free money, food, and housing form the government?? I am already paying 40% of my *NET* income to taxes, I can't afford to pay any more.

Why is it that nobody seems to be able to produce Obama's *REAL* birth certificate?? or is it just because he really was born in Kenya?? The constitution specifically says that one of the *REQUIREMENTS* to be President, is to be a natural born citizen. (McCain was born in the Canal zone, at the time it was a US posession)

Why is it that Obama can only spew retoric that has no substance... he says he wants to change the US, but has no idea *HOW* he is gonna do it.

Why is it that Obama said that the United States is the greatest country in the world, then in the same breath says "Lets change it"... change it to what???

There a bunch of yellow dog democrats, and a whole lot of impressionable college kids that just don't know any better that are gonna vote for Obama too. Did you ever stop to think that all of the freaks and wackos from the Peoples Republic of Berekely of the 60s and early 70s are now the professors that are teaching our children??? They didn't have a clue then either.

Did you ever stop to think about all of the good stuff that Shrub tried to do but was shot down by the democrat controlled congress??

People talk about the balance of power between the democrats and the republicans... that balance is about to go out the window and the US will be unwittingly turned into a socialist country. I am afraid what that is gonna do for my children and their children and so on.

Dude, I'm 42. I think I get the big picture. I've got plenty of life experience, and most of my jobs have been working for small busineses. I've rejected some jobs at small businesses in the past because they didn't offer healthcare --- maybe if I could buy private insurance at group rates with no exclusion for pre-existing conditions, I would have taken those jobs. Obama's healthcare plan is going to help small businesses get good employess who want healthcare.

Are you kidding me? That was Bush tossing the constitution by the wayside, not Obama.

He's not going to take your guns away. He's already said so. Pure BS. Where do you even get this stuff?

And it was Bush who has weakened due process, not Obama.

Do you make over $250,000 per year? If not, then your taxes will go down, not up. If you do make that much, then I actually think you could afford to pay more. And I disagree that the extra money will go to "slugs that won't work because they get that free money, food, and housing form the government."

If he wasn't a citizen, it would have been proven by now. Conspiracy theory BS.

Go read the platform -- it is all there in detail.

This country is great, but it's on the wrong track. Don't you think we need some things to change? We've lost our place in the world in the last 8 years. We've taken some serious wrong turns, and if we don't make a few changes, we wil no longer be a great country.

It's called democracy. Everyone gets to vote, even the ones you don't agree with. If we all agreed on everything, then we wouldn't need Democracy --- we could just put you in charge.

I can't think of anything like what you described. Good things Bush tried to do? No, can't think of one thing.

Ha ha! This is not going to become a socialist country! You've been listening to Joe the Plumber too much. I don't think he knows what socialism really is. Socialism is NOT a progressive income tax. We've had progressive income tax for something like 70 or 80 years or more --- have we been socialist that whole time? Socialism is state ownership of the means of production. Obama has never proposed anything like that. If you are worried about nationalization of businesses, you should be more worried about Bush than Obama. Bush is a big fan of socialism for the wealthy --- privatize the profits, nationalize the losses.

I agree there is a danger of what happens when the balance of power is lost --- I mean look how bad the Republicans screwed up when they held all the branches of government. McCain's argument has been basically, Look how WE abused OUR power when Republicans held both houses and the presidency --- don't give the Democrats the same power you gave US. That's ridiculous. Republicans need to take some time off and think about why they became so far out of touch with mainstream America that they are going to be completely stripped of all their political power. They brought in on themselves. And the Democrats need to look at what happened to the Republicans and not make the same mistakes. If they do win control of all branches, and they do make the same mistakes, then you get the chance to vote them out of congress in 2 years, and retake the presidency in 4. That's the beauty of Democracy.

If you are just making these arguments because you like to argue politics or you want to convince others of how to vote, then that is great. But if you REALLY are WORRIED about these things you brought up, like you said you were, then you need to relax. Obama is a real American citizen, and he is not going to throw out the Constitution, take away your guns, tax you into poverty, and turn us into a socialist country. You are going to feel pretty silly in a few years when none of the crap you are worried about comes to pass, and instead the country has a strong economy, good jobs, a good healthcare system, more renewable energy, less pollution, strong allies, greater security, etc., etc. Hell, you might even vote to re-elect Obama in 4 years.

Where do you get this stuff? If you actually believe anything you just wrote, then clearly all that life experience hasn't taught you to think objectively and check your facts. It is good to see the Republican foot soldiers shredding what little credibility the party had left though. Keep up the good work.

They called it for Obama about 4 hours ago. At that point he had over 338 Electoral votes with four states not yet called, so the count could still go higher. It was close in the popular vote, but a landslide in the Electoral votes, which is close to what the polls have been saying for a long time.

Congratulations to those of you who called it correctly!
