Yes, I am gonna buy my 150w HPS lamp there from that site. 400w MH is 400W mH no matter how u put it. Im guessing. IMO

Most of the lights at e-conolight will require you to do some wiring...they'll' be industrial lights, and won't have plugs. It's not very difficult, but it's not much fun either.

I've seen people use old or leftover building lights (which is what that light is) and have them work pretty well. They're not optimal, though. The ballast isn't separate, so you get more heat. The reflectors aren't really designed for great dispersal. They aren't made to be hung over plants.

For $159, you can get a set up with a better reflector that's easier to hang, a separate ballast for lower heat, and a switchable ballast so you can use both MH and HPS throughout the grow.

All you have to do is Match White and black with a ground to a cut extension cord.. You dont have to be an electrician. Plus the E-cono light come with a Setup instruction manual.

Or hitup ebay. I just say a Interchangeable MH and HPS plus reflector hood and cool tube for a Buy it now option. 129.99

If not i say use the Econo Light. Or CFL's
I have had decent luck with them on my first grow.

    Good luck Man
