Raising soil pH
IF ...I was rootbound in 3 gallon pots?....I would pull the plants out the pots...and trim away excess outside feeder roots and slice the rootball from four directions with a sharp knife.
It's not for the faint of heart...it's a Dutch method...for rootbound and needing fresh soil. Plus, a kiss of root stimulator.
