Using this system, I haven't received any grade lower than an A on h/w & exams, w/ the exception of 2 B+'s.

Yeah, it's really all about the individual. Some of the most intelligent people I know get high, and some of the dumbest too. Somehow I doubt the dumb ones would be specializing in nuclear physics if only they didn't toke.

AboveTheInfluence...I hate their very name; it has an elitist implication to it; well, I'll take being under my introspective "influence" over being in their sober sheep-mentality any day.

i always laugh so hard at the picture ads. i was reading xbox magazine. i turn the page and i see "BECOME A BURRITO TESTER!" it had lots of things like "test burritos in space stations, pirate ships, and more!" and other funny stuff. then on a bar across the bottom of the page it reads "Not many jobs out there for potheads. abovetheinfluence.com"

dude, the only anti drug ad that ever worked on me was the frying pan with the egg and the lady. but thats when i was like 8. it only worked for so long. it wasnt true. though it could be for other drugs, the new ones seem to be aimed at MJ, whereas the old ones were more broad spectrum.

Don't believe numbers. They can be 'rearranged' to suit the claimer's needs.

Let's say I study 100 people. It's on a college campus, so 50 out of the 100 people admit to smoking cannabis regularly. I could claim that 1 out of every 2 college students smokes cannabis. That's fine. Nothing wrong with that. Buuuut...

4 students admit to committing crimes that are cannabis-related. Robbery to get money to buy weed, drug dealing to minors, etc. Now...

I could make 45 of the original 50 admitted cannabis smokers simply 'disappear'. And then I could reasonably claim that 4 out of every 5 pot smokers admit to committing crimes. Essentially, I'm telling the truth because those people did admit to committing crimes. BUT I'm making the other 45 people disappear because I simply can.

They're NOT lying to you. They're just not telling the entire truth, either...

If my explanation was confusing please let me know and I'll expand upon it.

When it comes to demonizing weed, you need only to watch the movie Reefer Madness to know what lengths the "powers that be" will go to to get their point across. Almost makes one give credence to the folks who whisper all of the conspiracy theories about why it was outlawed in the first place.

what's even gayer than the commercials is the fact that they're spending OUR money on them..to lie to people..
