first time making hash please help

Hey this is my first post here so whats up guys.

I have recently been trusted to make hash for my friend we are both MMJ patients so this is all legal.

I am using the dry sift method but unfortunately i could only 110 line silk so i know it wont be the most pure. I have dried and frozen the leaf to make the trichomes easily seperate. I have quite a bit of skuff but it seems that my end product is very small. I was told to apply the least amount of pressure possible but it seems like when i do that i make none or barely any powder. My other problem is that when i try to press the hash it is still easily powdered and burns pretty fast. My techniques for pressing have varied but the end result is the same. First I put it in the oven to heat up wrapped in wet newspaper and cellophane for 10 minutes then rolled it for 10 minutes and let sit in the freezer for a half hour. The next time i used an iron on medium level for 10 seconds on each side twice then froze for one hour. Neither of these worked so i made a new batch and this time i cooked it on the stove properly wrapped for about a half hour to really let it melt and let it sit underneath my heavy ass dresser for 45 minutes and am going to let it freeze for an hour or so.

if i am doing anything wrong could someone with more knowledge please inform me. My friend is very large and dont want to dissapoint him if you catch my drift.:thumbsup:

One great way that I've made hash with basic supplies is this:
You will need... (lots of stuff you probably already have)

- a t-shirt silk screen from the art supply store
- glass or mirror surface
- credit card for scraping
- lots of zip lock bags
- vise grips
- two little flat pieces of wood (like 1x2's about 6"long)
- pot of boiling water

First, when you screen your stuff (this is the most important part) try to do runs of a couple minutes each, which means, take a handful of weed, screen it for a couple minutes, put it aside, then do another. When you've gotten through all your weed the 1st time, scrape up your keif and put it aside. That is "1st run". You can repeat this process and keep a close eye on the keif you're getting. You have to decide how green you want to let your keif get. The greener it is the worse the hash will be. The more you screen it the greener it gets.. you get the idea...

You can make a batch of hash with your first couple runs and keep it separate from the rest and make several batches , this way you get the most hash you can out of the weed... fyi - different weed puts out different amounts, the better it is etc... And, the first run hash will be amazing and it will get less amazing each time, but make as much as you can because even green hash is better to smoke than the weed you'll have when you're done doing this! ...

Now, tripple bag a quarter oz or so and fold the bags very tight, sealed up, no air, and make a nice rectangle block in the shape you want the hash to be. put the bag of keif between the two small peices of wood and clamp them down with the vise grips... really, i mean clamp it down TIGHT as hard as you can without breaking anything!~

Then stick the wood clamped keif bags down in the boiling water for abount 20 minutes. you can keep checking and make SURE you don't melt the bags (this is the danger)

When you think you've melted the shit out of it as good as you can, without fucking it up, take it out of the water, and what I like to do is leave it overnight and not unclamp it until morning... Wake and bake with some really nice hard hash that smokes very well and doesn't just burn up like keif but smoulders and does the trick... Bubble Bags work really good too... lol
