    Smoking with a tumor

    Howdy boys and girls.

I was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in my esophagus recently and am likely to start having chemotherapy, etc, real soon.

I've suffered the symptons for about 4-5 months now (unable to eat properly, odd gurgling sounds that sound like a weird alien), so it had plenty time to develop before I was diagnosed. I was smoking up over the summer fairly frequently, and again when I went back to university in September and i'm still smoking now and again at the moment.

Do you guys think this is a bad idea? My tumor isn't located in my windpipe so I don't think the smoke can make it any worse. I'm cutting down anyway as I need to feel as healthy as possible, but do you think the smoking could affect my condition more so than it would otherwise?

Anyway, my plan is to spend some of my student loan on a big amount and make food instead . If it hurts to eat, might as well make sure I get all the mileage out of each meal right?

    Cheers.

    Smoking with a tumor

Yes I think making it in edible treats would be the best choice. As for smoking, that's something I'd ask a doctor about...
