I used to run a '72 Nova back in the early, mid '70's..., cant remember my ET but it was fun.
I also owned a '73 Challenger, and a '77 Trans Am.
I love drag racing, It still amazes me that top fuel cars are running 8k horses! I was only a teenager back when top fuel was only 1800 horses. Ive been to Gatornationals when it was in its infancy, Rockingham when it was IHRA (met Don Garlits personally there.) Lakeland Int Drags is where I met Shirley Muldowney, She asked me to remove my ass from the fence I was sitting on. She was nice about it tho.
I have a good friend that runs an alcohol Dragster and every now and then I help out in the pits. There's nothing quite like being part of a racing team, lot of work, but deffinetly alot of fun.
Presently I live next to Bristol Dragstrip and I usually go to the Spring Nats.
