Help plant problems
Outside, minerals come from rain or acid rain leaching them off rocks, especially limestone. In an aquifer, the water simply dissolves them off. Areas where the substrate is an igneous rock such as granite tend to have softer ground water. If the substrate is limestone, the water can be quite hard.
