4' x 4' is good...you've got enough light to cover that well. You could go smaller, but a smaller room will increase heating/cooling issues.

No matter what, you're going to have to deal with heat/ventilation with a light of that size.

I know that I wanna have about 50 watts a sq. ft. But i am looking for opions from other people, who use/ or have used 600 hps before.
