I have learned my lessons very early on that just ditch public place smoking... aint worth the hassle, not even in this town with all of its lack of manpower in police

ya definatly, we make a hike now up a large hill and just walk there from our houses now.. it's got a good view of the road from about 100 meters away so it should prove to be chiller. difficult with a messed up ankle but i think it's worth it.. still have a quarter or so left so have until then do decide what's going down.. i love weed way too much it's hard to imagine quitting honestly.. lol.

Why could they take you to jail, it doesn't sound like they had anything to charge you for

i live in washington, the police have nothing serious to do.. my neighborhood has gotten hot because some local theifs go around stealing hella shit [ dumb ass people a little older than myself ].. so we've been getting a lot of attention in the neighborhood. sucks for people who aren't doing hella sketchy shit but next time i think i'll just take the charge.. than quit smoking till i have the drug review and pass the drug test, be on my way. might not be worth stopping completely but obviously have to take much more precaution. :stoned:

Yeah I didn't figure I could be charged with anything seeing as he was just bullshitting with me the whole time trying to scare me.. Eventually I figured I had to be let go but it would've sucked to go to jail for the weekend and have the judge sort out that I wasen't doing anything wrong.. I don't think they had the power to do that in this case with nothing on me and just the smell of weed in the air.

I have a similar story about cops with nothign better to do, I bought a pack of cigs and im literaly in the fucking parking lot of the gas station when a cop comes running up form no where and starts harrasing me, askign me to show my fucking id and my friend who was with me who was not 18, im in fuckign disbeleif that this is happening and i give them shit like asking if he doesnt have anything better to do(i guess not was his reply), well my friend lied about his age and got a obstruction charge and they searched and found weed on him among other things, so hes fucked. Anyways so completely after my friend is arrested and everything fucking 5 more cop cars show up, with like 8 officers just to stand around and suck each others dicks. So they chargee me with underage drinkign even tho i blew a .00 just cause they got me into admitting i had a drink a while before it happened and obstruction of justice(WTF? apparently questioning there fucked up antics which are obvioulsy fueled by nothing better to do, there outright lying, and the complete waste of money it was for 9 officers to come to the scene after the fact is "obstructing") .
So ya then at court they obviously lied on their report so its pointless for me to fight the bullshit charge so im forced to plead no contest to the obstruction and it wasnt even worth it to fight it even if i would have had a chance cause it woulda meant more court which iwant to have as little as possible to do witht that shit anyways.
Sorry for the rant but i think about this shit a lot lately and it gets me so fucking pissed im literally almost at the point of violence because obviously theres no other way to change this fucked up shit otherwise it would be done by now(not that fuckign shit up would probably accomplish anything either but it would make me feel a hell of a lot better). But anyways it sounds like you have it even worse where you are i feel bad for you(fucking helicopters are you fuckign serious). all I want is to smoke my fucking weed in peace fuck

NEVER put yourself in a position where somebody has to *DO* something about it in the first place..... with the other crimes in your area and the cops are already looking close for thieves, and you and your friend wanna go smoke in your neighborhood??? Get real.

What you do in the privacy or *YOUR* own home is your business, what you do in public is subject to scruteny (and police harrassment).

You and your friend put yourselves at risk, and the consequences could have been a lot worse. A little common sense goes a long way.

actually we need more people to go out and smoke in public, well unless you like be in constant fear that is. when more people see respectable citizens being arrested and the huge waste of money they are spending to try to bust small time pot heads, especially if they have problems with real crime like he mentioned, then maybe something will be done. It sucks cause every one is scared to get caught what we actually need is people who arent scared to sacrifice themselves for the cause otherwise nothign will be done. fuck the police

Until weed is legal, the basic tenant still applies.... Don't put yourself in a position where somebody has to *DO* something about it. If you want to put yourself at risk, and put your future at risk, you can do what you want. just don't come whining about police are pigs and fuck the police. They are only there to do a job. Yes there are some real assholes in law enforcement, just the same as there are in *ANY* vocation. When your grown and have some of lifes experiences behind you, you will have figured this out. Until then, weed is still illegal, and your gonna have to deal with it.

this Reminds me of the time me and my mate were walkin down the road smoking a blunt when the cops drove past and then turned around and drove back

(we were really really stoned and my m8 was on curfew and was not aloud to see me untill after we went to cort)

so obviosuly we ran i got away but my m8 got caught luckyly he managed to stash the blunt so we didnt loose out on our last bit of weed

but the police knew that he was wiith me trying to make him mess up so they could take him to the station but in the end the cops gave up and came to my house to see if i was in but i wasnt and i ent heard nothing from them since

Mississippi Steve, I would definatly be smoking in private if I owned my own place.. Some of us stoners are younger, and I will admit I probally would have a private place if I didn't smoke so much weed.. My messed up priorities [ or lack there of ] are the reason I am pretty much forced to smoke in 'public'. Shit I could smoke at my parents house, they probally wouldn't give a damn.. I just don't want to have my younger siblings accidentally exposed.

As aforementioned we have been going to a different spot at the top of a hill in a pretty deeply wooded area.. Nobody can hear or see us, and if for some reason the cops came I would know 10 minutes before hand.. This is working out nicely.

Basically my point isn't don't smoke in public places, because sometimes people have to.. My point is select the most discreet far off pain in the ass smoking spot you can because in the end it's worth it.. Shit we spend like an hour walking up, smoking, and back down from our smoke, and an hour later we go back up there.. Spending half of our day smoking ''safely''.. Still better than getting caught up by the police.

Yeah everything is chill now, going back to the normal routine. We have a few chill places to go now to avoid trouble.. Always the chance of getting caught somehow, best just not to carry what you're not willing to go down for.. As for running for such small amounts not sure if it's the best idea seeing as it can get blown out of proportion.

LOL, I feel sorry for our neighbours down south. It sounds like toking up is a dangerous game to play. The trouble people go through just to smoke a little weed.

Unfortunately, when you are young it is difficult to find a safe and private home to smoke in. My advice for public smoking with a buddy is to keep moving. Strolling along a trail or park path is good. No one can sneak up on you that way.
