Looking at getting a generator and would like some help. Thanks

Nothing too expensive I know they get up there. Bout 200 bucks is what im looking at and ive seen them cheaper. If i wont or you dont know anything that cheap tell me.

Is this a thesable option on running like 100 watts of lighting a few pc fans??
I understand these things need to be charged. How long do they hold one with the amount of elec. i will want to run?
And how loud do these things get. Thank you for the time you took to read this and help a fellow stoner get his meds safe.

i've never seen a generator that charges. that's called a battery. what a generator does is use a motor to turn a generator to make electricity. just look for one that will put out the power/amps that you need.

    Aloha, Zihowie,

Unless you are off the grid, a generator is overkill for under 200 Watts.

I think you can get by with an Un-interruptable Power Supply.

    I use airstones for DWC.
A power failure, (quite common in Hawaii), could wipe me out.
I also use LEDs for lighting, so my growroom is protected by 2 UPS units. One for lights, one for fans and pumps
If the line power fails, they kick in automagically in a few milliseconds, and use power stored in batteries to provide 120V AC until line power is restored, then they go back into charge mode to be ready for the next failure.
They are quiet and relatively inexpensive. Costco has a good price on them. Get one rated for as much power as you can afford.

    Ask for a UPS.

    Regards,
    Weezard

the bad thing about ups' are that they only keep your stuff up and running for so long before the battery expires. they don't generate any power of their own.
