When I take a deep breath there is a wheezing sound. It's nasty. I showed my nasty wheeze to a friend and asked her if she feels this way too (because she smokes cigs and weed). She said she only feels that way when she smokes out of pipes. That got me thinking.. that makes a lot of sense.. because I inhale a lot of gas fumes when I'm holding a lighter over my piece.. That got me thinking.. that makes a lot of sense.. because I inhale a lot of gas fumes when I'm holding a lighter over my piece..

So last night I rolled a joint and even made a rule with my friends that we cannot use pipes. ONLY JOINTS!

Yeah, I felt better! No wheezing or clogged lungs. I can really conclude that inhaling gas fumes for a long time has damaged my body. Joints don't hurt because they stay lit; therefore you don't inhale lighter gas.

Is this theory right?

What you are doing is stopping yourself from (DEEP LUNGING). When you burn joints. With a bong or pipe your getting toooo much too deep in your lungs. Very BAD but gets you higher. A certain amount of air has to stay in your lungs or they would collapse. If you fill that spot with smoke how do you think it gets out. Long term damage.

And paper. LOL. your poisoning your self with smoke in your lungs anyway.

Did you see the chems that pothead dealer put on them buds to make it taste better or to make the high better ?
I have seen alot of things, even formaldihyde put on some. Not chronic but the point is you don't know what you got if you did not follow it it's whole life till it got to you..

lighters arent bad for you. when you start the flame the lighter fuel burns and releases only CO2 and water, for that is the combustion product of fossil fuels like butane, and other lighter fuels. that being said, there is already a significant amount of both of those in the air we breath, so no matter what, the amount of those you inhale will do a negligible amount of harm if it even is harmful at that amount.

like everyone else said, it probably has to do with the really hot smoke your inhaling. there are several fixes. eat it. vape it. or man up and smoke it. just take a few days rest before smoking again, do some running, something that gets you inhaling and exhaling a lot of air, dont just hyperventilate, and you will start to repair that which you have damaged.

and rolling papers are worse for you, though just like the lighters, the amount of paper you smoke is not enough to cause any more issues than are already being caused by smoking in the first place.

and after vaping for the first time the other night, i highly suggest vaping as your solution. just dont turn that up too high, for it will then just burn it anyways and negate the effects.

hahahahah wronggggg u think lighters burn so efficiently that all the butane is burnt out no sirey. that butane still comes out there is CO2 H2O and C4H10 kind of like a car as in the fuel gets burnt but cars dont burn every single molecule of fuel so some of the fuel is expelled into the atmosphere as well as greenhouse gasses sorry if that came back rude im trying to be nice because for some reason im "infamous around these parts"

I agree for sure! solar-tokin' is the way to go! Make sure you use either a bub, or a nice tall bong W/ water maybe even ice.

I smell a nark or a vape snob. Little chance for fowl play on my nug, I know exactly where it came from, the dirt and a process called photosynthesis. For the record, oxygen deteriorates the body and is the reason we age, and your breathing that right now.

And to the original thread starter, a vape is a good idea. Also as you suspected the lighter isnt as harmless as some may think, butane is not 100%clean burning and like anything when burnt gives off carcinogens. Try a magnifying glass or maybe a pocket torch held a decimeter or so from the bowl of the pipe or bong.
