    light movers...

I was just curious if the track light movers really work well for growing. I personally think the light should be constant on the plants but would like some advice from growers who have used them and give me some of there feedback. thanks

They improve yield over stationary lights by eliminating hot spots, getting more light to parts of the plant that would otherwise have been shaded, and allowing more efficient use of oddly-shaped grow spaces.
    Survey says... yes, please!

Would different reflectors....screw the effect? (for light movers?) Not all reflectors are created equal. IMO. just curious...not a player...

Different reflectors will change the light pattern/spread, and there are little aluminum diffusers sold that help minimize hot spots. But the mover itself helps eliminate uneven light intensity over your grow by moving the hot spots themselves back and forth (or around) many many times over the course of the lights-on time.

I don't know if my reflector is a good reflector...or a bad one? Curved polished aluminum.

Well it grows good weed...just don't know it would work with a mover?

If there is some attachment point on the housing you should be fine on a mover. You might have to make a bracket to join the hanger points to the mover, or not.
How long is your space? The question is how much additional footprint do you need to cover?

I got a hand me down from a friend. Im four weeks into my first run. Issues I had: first, I wanted it air cooled. the tubing from the hood gets kinda in the way...but works. second, my first hood (old school hydrofarm) was to heavy to really move. switched to a smaller hps only hood and it works fine. third, Everything thru the middle looks great, but the far outside side pieces look like they dont get any light, or enough. Ive been spinning the pots. stinky, you think this will average out with nicer buds thru the middle? I guess we'll see in a couple of weeks!

I've built a manual light mover in my room. Just picked up an 8' slidding closet door setup and hung my air cooled light from it. Move the light every night. Seems to be working good so far.
