Plants laying down going to sleep on me.
Ok so my plants are only about 2 weeks old
When i water them the weight of the water makes them just lay right down on there sides
I am using a watering can with a bunch of little wholes so its not dumping gobs of water on it
What should i do,
Maybe turn the fan stronger to help with the stem strength
Or not worrying about it untill there bigger and tie them up
Anyones advice is apreciated.stoned88911 Reviewed by stoned88911 on . Plants laying down going to sleep on me. Plants laying down going to sleep on me.
don't run the water over the seedlings,
first, only water when needed and then,
gently pour the water into the dirt

Yeah thats over watering, seedlings don't need a lot of water so be careful, you could end up hurting them in the long run. Also if your humidity is to high thats probably helping the issue along as well, if its too high silica packets on the floor of your grow room will help.
Best of luck!

Have you got perlite mixed into your medium. Its ultra important otherwise the soil gets waterlogged and will starve the roots of air.

An oscillating fan. If your plants are lying on their side, you need that fan to strengthen them up. The breeze from the fan shows the plants that it needs to thicken up to keep from falling over. Constant, direct wind is also a no-no, an oscillating fan is what you want.
Bozo is right, water the soil surrounding the plants, not the plants themselves. (What are those roots for, eh?) Only water until some water starts to drip/run out of the bottom of the pots.
Good luck.
