    Question about Niacin?

My wife bought me niacin, it says 100mb Metabolism support. It says flush free on the back and it says timed release. Can I still take these? I took 2 but I chewed them up all the way and then drank them down with water. Will this counter act the flush free timed release thing or do we need to find the other kind. If it wont work exactly what and where can I find the right stuff. We got this at walmart and its all they had. Thanks guys.

    Question about Niacin?

I got my naicin at Stop and Shop, my local grocery. PLEASE NOTE that good old niacin, that makes you flush (very slightly on 100mg that I got), is really only good if you have a good bit of time to detox. It really only helps to support the detox process, by flushing you (dilating your capillaries that lace through your fat cells, among other places), but it is going to first put the THC INTO your bloodstream as it is loosened from your fat cells. Soooo, if you have a few weeks or more, then by all means, go ahead, but don't count on it to clean you out in one dose or one day.

    Good luck!

But is the kind I got ok. It says flush free and timed release. I was wondering if this would still work if I just chewed it up and then drank it down with a bunch of water. If that will work I have no problem with chewing them up first, I did that yesterday and it did not taste like anything. I just need to know if this will work or if I am wasting my time and if I need to go out and find the other one that does not say "flush free"

    Thanks guys

    Question about Niacin?

Ahhh, the old niacin myth. It has ties with the sauna myth. The myth had its origins from the study L. Ron Hubbard (the father of Scientology) conducted more than 40 years ago. Hubbards study, however, was centered around LSD use and the attempted prevention of LSD flashbacks that ran rampant at the time. Hubbard claimed that ingesting niacin and sitting in a sauna would, in time, remove LSD residues and prevent flashbacks. There has not been a shred of scientific evidence that can substantiate Hubbards claim.

Then some "brilliant" pothead, obviously acting under a garbled understanding, took the claim ..."Hey, if this gets rid of LSD residues, it must also get rid of THC residues"...What needs to be understood is that drug tests look for drug metabolites - not residues.
    The myth had been born.

And a myth that still persists today because of people that have taken niacin before a drug test and passed, only to not realize that it was the large amounts of water that was consumed with the niacin that brought the urine sample under the tests cutoff limit, thus a pass. The niacin was wrongly given credit when the real hero was the water. Its all about the water.

Hope this helps to debunk the niacin myth.
