thats ridiculous. Just because an animal may get killed for meat (which is also barbaric), then it means its okay to kill it for sport??? surely that means its okay for me to murder another human for sport, because they may or may not die by getting hit by a bus?

what i mean is that a animal killed for sport has a chance and gets to die with honor like a hero, rather than live it's entire life in a box to be routinely killed on an assembelly line. would you rather be killed for sport or in a factory?

i think it is past culture and everyones modernized PETA-ish views on past culture make it look barbaric when in reality it is a sport, a dangerous sport, and an entertaining sport...the human obsession with the sensations of pain and suffering, be it human or animal, will plauge the minds of humans and the acts of cultures till the end of time
its natrual to be intreauged by it, i believe it is NOT immoral, and that it is a respectible traditional practice

I think bullfighting is a lot more humane than industrial slaughter houses. I'm also the complete opposite of a vegetarian, I would inhale meat if I could.
I think that like it or ot, we are nothing more than animals with a bigger brain. We have natural instincts, and killing other species for food is one of them. Of course, since 'civilization' occurred, killing for food has slowly and gradually been phased out. When was that last time anyone on this board HAD to hunt to eat, or eat nothing at all? No one, yet the urge is still in us. A ritualized confrontation like bullfighting is cathartic for lots of people. I personally don't like it, because I can't stand to see animals hurt. On the other hand, I still think it's better than put cows on a conveyor belt and having a machine do all the dirty work.Peter: [writing letter] Dear MacGuyver, Enclosed is a rubber band, a paper clip, and a drinking straw. I hate it too, but the bulls do get the best of treatment prior to that point. I'd love to watch the Bull run in Pamplona tho', notice I said "Watch" - running up those cobbled streets with galloping, frenzied bulls hot on your arse is not my idea of a good time.
RUN FOREST RUN

You would like the end of the running of the bulls, when they massacre them all in the stadium. They banned camcorders from that part too, i guess they are ashamed.
Slaughterhouse cows get a quick shot to the head. Bullfighting is a long and drawn out process.
I still dont understand the comparison of hunting with bull fighting. One provides you with food, the other is torturing animals for sport. Maybe if hunters shot the deer in the leg, let it hobble for a while, shot it in the other leg, taunted it and then killed it, it would be the same.
Anyway i support seal hunt, how many people get hysterical about that just because they are cute?
