Bull Fighting

i think the important thing about bull fighting is that it's a man with a sword and a cape against a great big snorting bull. Therein lies the sport, both have a chance, but only one will win. I wouldn't root for either but it's amazing to watch. Great showmanship combined with the thrill of seeing something, be it man or beast, fight to the death in an arena...Maybe I have watched Gladiator too many times...

its bloody stupid, there was lots going on in spain when i was there, refused to go on principle, they should have child-rapist fighting instead, i would pay to see that.....

You would like the end of the running of the bulls, when they massacre them all in the stadium. They banned camcorders from that part too, i guess they are ashamed.

Slaughterhouse cows get a quick shot to the head. Bullfighting is a long and drawn out process.

Anyway. Do we really care? And if we do, we clearly are really fucking stupid. Because there is so much worse shit going on then some random spaniard poking a bull to death. Is it an unfair fight? Yes. Is shooting a deer in the face with an arrow fairer? No, it's less fair. Animals are being poked at with swords all over the world. People are beating their weiner dogs. Cats are getting tossed in lakes. Your fellow man are getting murdered randomly.

Are we supposed to shed a tear every time something barbaric happens on this planet? Are we supposed to try and stop every barbaric time honored tradition out there?

And everyone who's saying "I ROOT 4 TEH BOOL BECAUSE THE MAN SHOULD DIE BECAUSE IT'S BARBARIC"

Think about it, isn't it 10 times more barbaric to cheer for the death of some spanish guy you've never met in your life then a BULL? "Don't kill that bull! It's inHUMANe... instead kill that guy over there."

i think its ok, i mean if i was a bull i would rather die that way than be killed for a steak, at least prior to the fights those bulls are given great medical treatment and allowed to run and exercise in open fields so there in tip top shape for the fight.

Actually the bull is usually wounded and/or sedated prior to the fight so the matador is all safe and cosy. It's all just senseless bullshit in the long run!
