Its a DOT test and I just found out today that they don't do a 50ng, 35ng, or 5ng test, they do a yes or no test. If there is any trace in my urine I fail.
Sounds like you need to read up and learn the regulations and protocols of DOT testing. With DOT testing, regulations and protocols must be adhered to by the employers, employees, specimen collectors, lab personnel, MRO's, and everyone else involved. Any deviations from the regs invalidates the test results. And if a collection site and/or lab repeatedly violates the regs, that can result in the revoking of their certification to conduct DOT testing, which can spell the end of their existence as a business. Know your rights. Learn the regs.

Now with that out of the way, all DOT tests utilize a 50 ng cutoff limit for the initial assay screen and the confirmation GC/MS utilize a 15 ng limit. This is clearly outlined in 49 CFR Part 40, Subpart F, § 40.87 of the DOT regulations. If your urine sample tests below 50 ng, youve passed and the test is over with no confirmation test performed. Plain, sweet, and simple.

Upon learning the regs, you'll also discover that substituting a urine sample is as easy as a walk in the park. :smokin:
