Need some test advice! PLEASE HELP

I just kept the bottle of synthetic urine in my pocket with a heat pad and when I got the call I would activate the heat pad and put them both in my crotch. Then just stall for 45 minutes to an hour till the pad warms the urine up to temp. Don't have to be in a hurry. They're paying you by the hour anyway.

How long have you been retired. My wife was looking around yesterday on the internet and saw the new guidelines for the DOT drug test. I think it was on their site but I am not sure where she found it so I can not give a link. It stated that they were changing the way they do the test because to many people were gaming the system by bringing in fake or clean urine. The site said that you now have to drop your pants and underwear to your knees and lift your shirt to your chest and then do a complete 360 in front of the tester before pissing. If I can find that link I will post it here so you all can see it.

This is absurd, they are already checking our urine and now they want us to dangle our private parts in front of there faces before we are made to pee on command for them. This is getting crazy. I don't even see how this could be legal. What ever happened to our right to privacy?

My test site does not do this yet, they only make you empty your pockets, wash you hands and give you up to 4 minutes alone in the tightly locked down, private room, for you to pee in. I can also see that it is only a matter of time before they adopt this new standard. I will have a big problem if they ever do require this. Clean or not, I will never let myself be humiliated up to 4 times a year in this way. This is just going to far.

One question. Can someone link to the site that you guys are buying the bulk, at home test kits from. We got one from walmart that tested down to 15ng but it was $15.00. Ive seen people here talking about getting them in bulk for around a buck a piece, is this true and if so where are you buying them from. Are the any good and do you guys know if they are the 50ng or 15ng. I would really prefer the 15ng if I can still find those cheap.

I did a home test yesterday that tests down to 15ng, I think I almost passed. The directions said that if there were 2 lines it was a pass (no matter how faint the second line was) and a fail if there was only one line. There was a solid line and a very, very faint second line. So it looked like I was a very close pass.

Contrary to popular belief, the intensity of a line is not indicative of whether you are close to the cutoff level or not. To think so would be conjecturing, since home assays have no ability to yield a quantitative value (unlike the GC/MS). Home assays are simply a go/no-go test. A faint line in the 'test' region of the home assay is still a negative.

Are you really sure that they test the way you said, they do the test that test for five major drugs types and they send the urine out to a lab and I dont get the results for 24-48 hours.

Most of the changes had already went into effect as of 8/26/08. Only one change was postponed until 11/01/08 - the mandatory observed specimen collections for all follow up/return to duty cases. This change was postponed to allow for public comments on the new ruling.

It must be understood that this procedure only applies to observed collections. And observed collections are still not allowed unless there is cause. This is still standard procedure under § 40.61 and § 40.63 of the DOT regs. A locking bathroom door is not a requirement.

Keep reading and learning the regs from the link I had provided for you in post #8. And since youve stated that youre union, you should print up the DOT regs and forward them to your BA anytime the rules get broken at your expense.

A cheap place to buy test strips are on ebay. They cost about $1.25 each and are just as reliable as the test in the labs. I ordered 10 THC test strips and the cost was about $13 total (with shipping). Hope that helps.
