yeah... and at roughly $80 per test, and a dozen applicants....if they all fail, that becomes a sizeable chunk of $$$.....plus how much of the interviewers time was wasted....plus....plus...etc. It all has to do with the business of running a business. Its not free. Here's a little tidbit for you... I run my own business out of my home... that saves me about $5,000 per month in overhead. As is, my overhead runs from $4800 to over $9,500 per month with just advertising costs of $20,000 per year. And thats all before I write myself a paycheck or my company makes any *PROFIT*.

Now... lets put this in perspective... If I had 10 employees, that base figure just jumped to $75,000/mo before there is any profit and before I write myself a pay check.

All that being said, if your not gonna pass, then don't apply. Companies don't have the cash flow right now to pay for UA on every person that walks in off the street. Most are laying off employees because they can't afford to keep them. If you want to pass a UA, then start by not smoking for at least a month before you apply.

If I hire you, you have to be clean when you get hired because of insurance. After that, I don't care if you smoke weed, but chemicals will get you fired for cause, and it will be reported as "not elegible for re-hire".
Also be aware of another insurance issue.. if you get hurt on the job, the first thing they do is do a test... either UA or blood. If you come up positive for *ANYTHING*, your insurance coverage is denied, and you get fired on the spot.

Sound harsh??? Well...get used to it, because thats real life in this neck of the woods.
