5 weeks flowering help
Hey everyone, well just wanted to say thanks for all the help...couldn't have gotten this far without everyone sharing their knowledge. alright, i'm 4 1/2, almost 5 weeks into flowering. Recently, i noticed that my bottom leaves on both girls seem to be wilting and losing its color, fading from 'full' green to lighter shades of green every day.
I know, i know, during last phases of flowering its supposed to be natural. However, on one of my plant, there is a big yellow spot. I'm pretty sure its not a light burn cause I never foliage feed and when I check the heat with the back of my hand, it takes a while for me to feel the warmth.
I'm heading more towards a P or K problem. maybe nute lockout. can anyone confirm?
anyway, i gotta get to work, but i'll list my plant stats and info when I get home. can anybody help....???? thanks in advance.Hellfire808 Reviewed by Hellfire808 on . 5 weeks flowering help Hey everyone, well just wanted to say thanks for all the help...couldn't have gotten this far without everyone sharing their knowledge. alright, i'm 4 1/2, almost 5 weeks into flowering. 5 weeks flowering help
The plant needs leaves for photosynthesis. I'd leave the leaves on. The light could stand to be a little closer. The spot on one leaf is now big deal. I wouldn't worry about it. I've done that kind of thing by dripping fertilizer on a leaf. The damage won't spread if that's what happened. About the general yellowing on lower leaves, if I have that right, is due to low Nitrogen. Even though you're in flower and almost done, another small dose of fert might be ok. If you're harvesting soon, don't do it cuz you don't want the chemical in your plant. You could just let the plant live out it's life at this point.

I have no idea what that is but it doesn't look troublesome. More light would be good for your plants (they are a little lanky underneath) but only if you can keep heat down.
Never trim fan leaves! That's like taking the engine out of a car to make it lighter and faster!

Sorry dude but those plants are so light starved...you need to think about whether or not the risk you take is worth what you are going to harvest.
Then again, no jury would convict you as those plants are pathetic.
I would cut them down, review your lighting issue(s) and contemplate a start over.

stinkyattic is well worth listening to, she knows her way around the problems we all face!!!
Personally I avoid trimming leaves and the more light the better.

All harshness aside, Hardon brings up a good point- if your grow is valuable as an educational experience as well as for the bud, that's one thing, but you definitely have to sit down and think of risk-benefit and know the whole picture. What I see him saying in his post is, if you are going to do something potentially dangerous, it's not worht the risk unless you do it correctly.
So... I'm glad you are adding more light. It will only help you.

hi All!!
I guess I misunderstood, when I first started these forums no one told me to cut down my plants.
To me it just seems really rude. We all do what we can, we come here for help.
If my first input from this forum was , cut them down, I probably wouldn't be here now.
stinkyattic I have nothing but respect for you!!!
HARDDON with the pure numbers of your posts here, you should be in my mind like stinkyattic, yet I don't recall any information you provided, at all!!!
I am open to critism, but, let the new legal growers have half a chance.
Not all of us gets a # on our first plant!!!
Sorry no disrespect intended to any one but, don't dis the noobs grow, we all started somewhere.
