cool: The wife and I are new to MM . We just started a grow with clones. Were using 3gal pots, metal halide lite hung about 14" above the clones. This is keeping a temp around 71 to 76 while lite is on, runing lites 18 hrs a day. Does that sound right?

3 gallon pots for just rooted clones is too big. take a look at this thread:

for more info about transplanting.
I think if you have low temps you can lower your lights abit closer to the plants.
Beside from that everything sounds great!
