HELP No bud in 23 days - positive on home test

I have until October 24 to prepare for a drug test. I was offered and accepted the job on September 23. Although my (hopefully) new employer did not indicate that I would be drug tested, I asked for and received a copy of the employee handbook which indicated that all new employees were subject to a preemployment drug test. After reading the handbook, I was able to postpone my start date until October 24, giving me 30 days to clean out.

I am 6'1, 260 pounds and was a daily user for the last four years. I quit immediately on September 23, and have not had a single hit since. Today I bought an at home test kit and came up dirty. I had done a bunch of research, and found a study by Dr. Cary from the University of Missouri who said that even chronic users should be cleaned out within 21 days at the 50mg/l cutoff. I have now been clean 23 days.

My job is to start in 7 days. Any suggestions for me? I have read the dilution tips and am going to wait until Monday to go and purchase another test kit and to experiment with the dilution method.

It really sucks that maryjane stays in your body so long. Any tips or words or advice/encouragement would be appreciated.

Knot4me, I would like to know the results of your dilution test run. I was going to wait until Monday to do a test run, but I have decided to do it tomorrow instead. If you could provide me with the exact list of things and steps that you took I would appreciate it.

My test today was my 3rd or 4th piss of the day. All I had drank was about 16 oz of tea.

Before starting to clean out, I was smoking a quarter a week. Generally it was very good quality hydro, but I lost my job and couldn't afford that anymore and had only been smoking average quality weed over the last month or so.

I am also thinking of becoming a member of the subclub. Would it be possible for me to scoop some of my son's urine out of the toliet to use? How soon after he goes should I do it? My test is probably going to be on a Friday, so I also need to know how to store it until then. My wife has no idea that I have ever smoked, so I need to be careful on the steps I take.

Read both the dillution and subbing sticky. You are about the same size I am. It could take you over 2 months to get clean. There's no guarantees. Try eating a high fiber diet with metamucil and exercise as much as you can. Stop exercising a couple days before the UA.
Subbing with synthetic urine is really your best bet. Never get urine out of a toilet.Its going to be too dilluted and will probably contain flouride which will show up as an adulterant.

im the same size an inch shorter maybe but when in doubt i go with synthetic urine. also gnc and head shops have a week detox which seems to work for me also but i have to stay clean for a week and usually 30 days of clean will do it

is the line getting faint or is it a strong positive

KW, have you ever used the dilution method successfully?

Also, would 4 or 5 days of intense exercise really help? Since my test is probaly next Friday, I could get at least 4 days if it would help. I know everyone is different, but I am paranoid as hell as this is an important job for my family.

I am prepared to use the substitution method if necessary, although I would feel more comfortable peeing myself. I bought some drinks a couple of years ago for a life insurance physical and it came back too diluted so I had to pee again. Is the threshold for a life insurance test higher than it would be for a preemployment screen.

That study about the detection window being shorter than previously thought is apparently bs.

If next Friday is my test day, I will have been clean for 31 days.

One more question, is no line visible at all indicitive of when I will pass? i have read that those tests or go/no go. So, in other words, is it possible to fail today with completely no line, and then take it again tomorrow and pass?

I realize that this is hypothetical. Also, there are obviously some very intelligent people here who have done significant research on this area. Has anyone else read the National Drug Court Review regarding the Marijuana Detection Window by Paul Cary, and if so, what is your opinion of it? He seems to indicate that even in chronic users, detection above the 50mg/l level after 30 days indicates new or continued use. There are alot of people on here who are coming up dirty from 90 to even 150 days after stopping. So, I guess what I am asking is, are people not being truthful about their abstinence, or is Cary just flat out wrong?

As far as subbing with urine dipped out of a toilet, I don't think that would do...unless your son has a potty seat. It would be WAY to much water to urine ratio. But if you can get him to pee in a cup, then it would be a breeze. I personally think you didn't drink enough before you tested yourself. If you are just doing a trail run at home, you don't need the tums or gatorade mentioned in the sticky. Take 4 asprin (325mg) about 4 hours before starting dilution and again when you start the dilution. Any liquid can do for the trial run but you don't want to eat during dilution...it will slow down the dilution process. If you use water and find yourself getting nausious drink a little salty water to replace your electrolytes and you should start feeling better in about 15-20 minutes.

Storing urine is easy. Storage time is about 8 hours at room temp and in fridge is about 5 days. It can be frozen up to a year. If you freeze it, just take out of freezer the day before you need it for test and place in fridge to thaw overnight. Bring to room temp and heat it like synthenic urine.

One other thing....when was your last time toking and height/weight?

I was at 33 days clean and couldn't pass the first morning urine test, but I could pass with a little dilution. Still scared me into subbing. Is there any reason you don't want to use QF?
