The method of inhilation is the biggest measure in respiratory health. Vaporizers, although expenisve, are a way of intaking the active ingredients (thc) w/o burning the plant material; this combustion of the plant material leads to tar buildup in the lungs, which is in fact can increase rates of cancer (the pseudostratified columnar epithelial cells lining the lungs cope w/ too much tar covering them, and in turn, build a protective layer of cells over them). Due to the facts that cannabis has far less carcinogens than cigarettes, and that cannabis usually is not used as often (compared to a fulltime smoker), cannabis is definitely the less harmful route.

Cannabis naturally makes you cough (I think due to the trichromes), which is good for you. It helps to clear up tar out of your lungs.

I believe matches are better than lighters due to the butane inhilation from the lighter.

Harmful to your brain? - bah humbug, wat isnt these days
The only thing that I'm convinced it does is that due to artificial facilitation of the neurotransmitter dopamine, it can lead to a chemical imbalance. After long term use, your brain gets "used to" the cannibinoids imitating the dopamine. This is a negative feedback system which in turn makes your brain produce less naturally-occuring dopamine (the make you feel good drug). So, when you're not on marijuana after long term use, you can feel "down":wtf: for a while (maybe a month), untill you get your brain producing normal levels of neurotransmitters again.

In summation, buy a vaporizer or consume edibles for your thc intake.........:stoned:...............once i quit cigarettes, im going to buy a vap......your lungs can heal after time..........
