Haven't tried cloning on a large scale, but do have a short story about the ONE that successfully rooted...

I had 4" floro's hangin above my plants from SunRiser brand hangers. One day, one bulb went out... twisted it just a weeee bit, and it fell on my FAVORITE little girl!!! I had previously topped it, and one of the main branches had broken off...

I ran downstairs to get my GreenLight Root Hormone powder (that stuff is awesome, btw). I then cut the branch at around 45 deg and put it in some powder, then into tap water.

I have this rubermaid-type container with a locking lid... might hold a quart of water... anyways... duct taped the outside to prevent light and cut the hole in the lid to put my netpot in. Also put a grommet in the top the size of my airhose in case I wanted to put a stone in there.

Filled the pot halfway with hydroton, then a rapid rooter DOUSED in tap water and GL root hormone, stuck the "cutting" in there, and covered it with more hydroton.

I then stuck this in a closet with one 13w blue CFL. The roots grew an INSANE amount with NOTHING but the rooting hormone and tap water (ph ~6.7). Ended up throwin her in with my other flowering plants and she is doing wonderful...

I do plan on trying the cloner with the pipe insulation... that seems like an awesome cloner... guess you could have one or two for each strain....
